Class 4 had a busy day at the maritime museum in Liverpool. We looked at the exhibition all about the Titanic then helped act out a story in our workshop.

Class 5 Fairy tale day! It was a very busy and exciting morning which included a story time with traditional and twisted fairy tales and a scavenger hunt where the children had to find clues to solve the mystery phrase. We then played games of ‘Who am I?’ where the children had to guess the correct fairy tale characters from the clues and we also solved muddled puzzles, matching fairy tales to their correct beginnings and endings. The children also planted a bean so we can watch their individual beanstalks grow over the coming weeks and months. The children looked amazing and we had a fabulous time! (There's a photograph gallery for this in the 2022 -2023 Gallery.)

Year 6 have used CAD to design their Christmas decorations, which we have begun printing on the 3D printer! You'll be able to buy these at the Christmas fair. I was so impressed with their determination to keep trying, or "tinkering" anyhow they helped each other complete their designs. Just wow!

Class 7 found out how to make a lightbulb work in a circuit this morning.... They were so excited to see it light up for the first time!

Class 8 were super scientists this afternoon investigating how sounds are made. We particularly enjoyed the tuning fork in water and playing the kazoo. Well done Class 8 !

What a day in Year 5! We came into darkened classrooms, full of Chinese lanterns. There was a mysterious voice speaking to us and images of a circus on our screens. What looked like a chopled up letter, written in characters was on our desks. We set about translating the letter.

It was from a circus master whose circus had come to the UK from China. The star attraction of the circus is the kites. However, somwone had forgotten to pack them. The circus master asked if we could help by makimg some more. He asked us to lut a message on each kite, in Chinese, so that they would have good luck.... here are some photos and videos of our morning... let's hope the circus master is impressed...
