Year 5

made an explosive start to their new literacy topic about hybrid texts on the subject of volcanoes. We worked in groups to make volcanoes and then recreated the Pacific Ring of Fire in the playground. Back in class, we wrote up our instructions for how to make your own volcano. Just a recount and explanation piece of writing to go, now.

Class 7

have had a great morning with Class 8 at Blackburn Cathedral, showing off their knowledge and learning new things from Sian and Sue. They’ve explored the Cathedral including doing a drama in the Crypt about Pentecost.

Class 8

have had a wonderful day learning about Blackburn Cathedral and Pentecost on our trip. We then finished the day with some YOGA. Well done class 8 - you were eager, enthusiastic and perfectly behaved.
