The Japanese has a lovely word, "Otsukaresama." Superficially this word means "you are tired," but looking at the word more deeply it is used to encourage, and to express gratitude. Used in the morning Otsukaresama is a way of wishing people all the best for the day, and to encourage the hard work the day may bring, in the afternoon it is used to recognise people's effort, and at the end of the day Otsukaresama is used as a sign of support and appreciation. Otsukaresama encourages us to voice our heartfelt thanks, and i would like to do that now. May I say "Otsukaresama" to Mark, Ange, Siobhan, indeed all staff for all they have delivered this week, may i say Otsukaresama to you for all your support and well wishes, and may I say Otsukaresama to the kids for all that they achieve and for all of their efforts.... it really is incredible.

Have a great weekend everyone,

Andy

If I keep the annual survey open until Monday morning? If you haven't already done so please complex it. It only takes aroun4 minutes to complete, and is fully digital! Just click on the link below. It's important to canvass your views so that we can consider them as we continue to work together for the best of the kids, the staff, yourselves and the local community. The survey is 10000000% anonymous, however, I say, why be anonymous - but that's your call. Let us know what you think -  Click on the link.

Young Voices

It was superb wasn’t it? It was always going to be, but it did surpass my expectations. The kids were great—and what an experience for them. Well done to Siobhan and everyone involved. Clearly that brings choir club to an end now…. But we will be running it again next year for Young Voices 2024….

You may have noticed that the Seesaw App has changed and is now available as one mobile app for iOS or Android devices for students, and family. You no longer need to use two separate Seesaw Class and Seesaw Family apps. This single Seesaw app allows, students and families to switch easily between active users.

Do I have to do anything to get the new app?

New Seesaw users: If you're new to Seesaw, install Seesaw on iOS or Android devices and sign in as a student, or family.

Current Seesaw Class app users: If you already have the Seesaw Class app, no need to get another app! You will be updated to the new Seesaw app automatically.

Seesaw Family app users: if you have an earlier version of the Seesaw Family app (before 8.0.0) you will need to download the new Seesaw app to take advantage of the new experience.  Once you using the new app, you can delete the Seesaw Family app.

In the Seesaw app, you can now add different accounts for both students and family members.  Once added, it is easy to switch between the different accounts. That means that if you are a parent with two children, you can sign into your family account and both of your student accounts on the same device. Please note, however, that if your children have access to your device, they will also be able to access your family account from the switching menu. You may prefer, for example, to keep your adult/family account on your phone, and use a shared device/tablet for children’s accounts.  If you have more than one child’s account on your device, please ensure that they are uploading work and completing activities for their own account, and not that of their siblings!
