We Love Reading!

A huge thank you to all parents who purchased books from the book fair on our parents evenings. So far we have taken £1350 in purchases which is amazing! The school will receive a percentage of this to spend on books for our class libraries and whole school library. This will help us to continue to foster a love of reading at St George's. Thank you!

One of the keys to success, calmness and happiness is communication.

Communication is Key.

We communicate with you using a whole range of media. To get the best from us do you:

Follow us on facebook for latest updates, clarifications and of course pictures galore!

Read the Newsletter

Check your online calendar? And read the notes, which we will try and get better at updating!

Keep you details upton date with SIMS litre?

Check the parents Facebook page (Which is nothing to do with school personnel), but kind hearted parents do copy and paste relevant notices on this feeds - it's useful for Uniform Swap, homework, corrections etc.....

We do our best with communication—we’re not always accurate I know that! I'm the biggest inaccuracy around the place…. But we do get it right way more times than not….. So, that’s what we do to get communication right…. And to make life as easy, and relaxed as possible… do your best please to make communication as effective as possible!

The King's Coronation

We will be celebrating the King's coronation in school on Friday 5th May. Plans are coming together nicely and there will be more information to follow. What we can say is that the Leanne and everybody in the kitchen are planning a special lunch. More information is attached to this week's newsletter. This lunch can be ordered via Scopay.

Dance and Tennis Clubs will be cancelled on Wednesday 29th March due to Movie Night. I'm sure we'll see our dancers and tennis players at Movie Night instead!

School Council Pyjama Day and Movie Night

School council love raising money for the school and deciding how this could be spent. We have therefore been busy planning an Easter Pyjama Day and Movie night which we know is a firm favourite with the children whilst raising money for the school too. This year, on Wednesday 29th March 2023, all children are invited to come to school in their pyjamas. Children will also be able to stay in their classrooms after school to watch a movie with their class whilst school council will hand out a drink and small bag of popcorn per child. If your child wishes to stay for movie night after school, please sign up and pay £2 on Scopay ( £1 for Pyjama Day and £1 for Movie night). If your child does not wish to stay after school, £1 could be brought into school to donate for Pyjama Day. Children staying for Movie Night should be collected at 5:30pm from the same place you would normally collect them at the end of the school day.

Many thanks,

School Council

What's my chances of getting something for nothing? Slim I guess but…. Running club in school "runs" well… I’d like to widen the path around the MUGA with either tarmac, or a no dig solution… similar to the entrance/exit path to the junior yard… can anyone oblige, or any ideas how this can be done on the cheap please? Lovely.
