All good things must come to an end..... the kids have enjoyed using the MUGA in the morning - we've turned a blind eye, knowing it would have to stop at some point; that time has come. There was an accident last week, and staff were called, this was prior to 8.45am. In this instance systems worked, and staff were available, and relationships have held etc.... but it could have been so different. Accordingly, the MUGA will be closed now, until the start of school, and although you are still welcome to enter the school grounds prior to 8.45am, you must supervise your kids until the doors open, or use breakfast club. Many thanks.

In other news.......

We say goodbye to Miss Cook today, and from Monday welcome Mrs Gregson! Nic is getting married this weekend to her Fiancé of 108 years - we wish them all, Thea included, all the best, and look forward to enjoying married life with them.

Sports days

Following the huge success of last year's sports day, and the kind generosity of Albany Academy, we will once again be hosting both sports days at Albany (although I must confess they don't know yet!)  It's great, and the kids loved it last year.

Sports Days. DATES CONFIRMED - THANK YOU ALBANY!

Weather permitting, and with permission from Albany our sports days will be held on 27th (Infants)  and 29th June for the Juniors, in the mornings, both starting at approx. 9.30am. over at Albany High School.

Children will meet at school as usual in the mornings. School staff will escort the children to Albany, where sports day will take its usual form.

All children should come to school ready in team colour polo if they have, if not a plain T shirt of the same colour, PE shorts and pumps or trainers. They can stay in this all day so no need for uniform.

If we are lucky enough to have the sun shining please make sure that your child has had sun cream applied before school and that they are wearing a hat/cap.

Come along and support us and join in the fun!

Alas, there will be no chairs available, so either bring a blanket, bring your own garden chairs, or sit on the grass banking over at Albany. Should you require any chairs from school pop over and Martin will sort you out, and please remember, toilets are far children’s use only. Should you need the loo, you’re going to have to pop to our school. Sorry.

Year 5 are scampering to Albany the week before on a mini enterprise venture—cake baking! So bring loose change to purchase said cakes, and support year 5!

Year 5 will go to Albany on Wednesday 21st June in the afternoon to bake and decorate the cakes.

Apologies for yet another subject questionnaire, I hope you don't mind. I would love to gather your views on Science. We have put a lot of effort into Science, to improve both teaching and learning, and I want to know if it's been successful. The survey is quick and easy to do, will only take 3 minutes to complete, and can be completed on your mobile device. As per all the surveys that we do, the responses are, should you wish, completely anonymous.

Have a great weekend everyone, happy ascension Sunday, and take care, Andy
