Imagine a shimmering, starlit path unwinding before us, twinkling with the promise of wonders yet to come. This is no ordinary path, but the magical trail of Advent, leading us towards a season filled with joy, hope, and heartwarming surprises.

As we embark on this magical journey, each day is like a delicate snowflake, unique and full of potential. Just as a snowflake joins with others to blanket the world in a winter wonderland, each day of Advent brings us together, weaving a tapestry of shared moments and cherished memories.

In the classrooms of St. George's and Mossy Lea, echoes of laughter and the rustle of creativity remind us that the true spirit of this season lies in the heart of our community – in every helping hand, every kind word, and every shared smile.

As the Advent calendar's doors open one by one, like windows into a world of wonder, let's embrace this time with the wide-eyed wonder of our children. Let's find joy in the simple things: a story read together, a shared joke, or a walk under the winter sky.

Let's journey together down this starlit path of advent, with hearts full of anticipation. For in the end, it's not just about where the path leads us, but the magic we create along the way.

Wishing you all a delightful and wonder-filled Advent, Andy

This week and last were very busy weeks for the PE leads, and CSSP.

The final performance from The Lion King festival. Song and dance all learnt in an hour and a half! Amazing. ?????? Thank you Chorley School Sports Partnership for a great day!

Our fantastic Year 5 and 6 athletics team had a great time competing in the Sports Hall Athletics competition this evening. They all did amazingly well and finished in 2nd place! Well done everyone!!

Glow dodge ball at Holy Cross was great fun! Once again the kids really showed themselves off - proving they can do the little things well, live life to the full, and show themselves and the school off. Well done everyone.

Christmas Fair - click here for the Facebook invite, which contains lots of useful information.

We need a little  more help "manning" the stalls for Monday. Can you click here please if you are able to supervise a stall on the evening? It's quite a straight forward task, and full training will be given!.

Please read the calendar notes re the Christmas Fair for all the up to date information; including a massive please for some gorgeous fantastic cakes if possible please thatw e can sell. Let's have a final push to this major fundraiser for the PTFA and the school - entrance, I think, up the junior path! Ill hopefully see you all there.

And finally let's celebrate one of our pupils' successes, albeit from her former school. Zoey's name was published in the 50th edition of Banks environmental journal today. The researchers had visited Blackrod school this year but the article was published this week. Click on teh link to read Zoe's amazing contribution. Well done Zoe. Great pice of work, for a great cause.
