As we reach the finale of this term, let's pause and reflect on the journey we've undertaken, much like the profound path from Holy Week through the Passion of Good Friday to the radiant joy of Easter Sunday. This term, like the Easter narrative, has been a tapestry of trials and triumphs, teaching us resilience, renewal, and the power of hope. The kids, akin to lights in the darkness, have shone brightly, their achievements a beacon of what faith and perseverance can bring. The parents, your unwavering support has been our rock, reminiscent of the steadfast love that guides us through challenging times. Our staff's dedication mirrors the compassion and sacrifice that Easter celebrates, a reminder of the strength found in unity. Together, we have weathered the storms and now stand at the dawn of Easter's promise - a testament to the incredible spirit of our school community. As we bid adieu to this term, let us carry forward the lessons learned and the joy found in new beginnings. Thank you all for making this term not just a period of academic learning, but a season of growth, faith, and collective joy.

We are excited to extend a special invitation to you for an extraordinary evening with Chris Luube on July 4th. Recognised for his captivating storytelling and profound insights, Chris Luube will engage our Year 5 and Year 6 students in an enlightening session earlier in the day, followed by an equally compelling discussion with parents in the evening.

Chris Luube's journey is nothing short of inspirational. As a former colleague of Jason Tshabalala and a trusted member of Nelson Mandela's security detail during his presidency, he brings a wealth of experience and firsthand knowledge of pivotal moments in history. Through his unique perspective, he sheds light on crucial topics such as racism and apartheid, igniting meaningful conversations and fostering understanding within our community.

Following an afternoon session with our kids, and private dinner at the dressers, we will return to school for a tremendous evening.

  • Evening Session: The evening session with Chris will be open not only to parents but also to high school pupils who wish to accompany their parents. We believe this will enrich the discussion and provide valuable insights for our older students. The evening session will begin at 6:30 PM.

Registration: To assist with planning and ensure we can accommodate everyone, we kindly ask parents to complete the online QR code to register their attendance for both the afternoon and evening sessions, or clink on this link. https://forms.office.com/e/kzw8W4JvxL

Thank you for your cooperation, and we look forward to welcoming you and your children for what promises to be an inspiring and thought-provoking day with Chris Luube.

In the spirit of forgiveness and reconciliation, we draw inspiration from the words of Morgan Freeman, who portrayed Nelson Mandela in the film "Invictus":

"Forgiveness liberates the soul. It removes fear. That is why it is such a powerful weapon."

Together, let us embrace the opportunity to learn, grow, and stand united against adversity.

We look forward to your presence on this impactful evening. Trust me, you wont be disappointed.
