Within the embrace of Holy Week at our school, we journeyed through a profound tapestry of emotions, from the reflective depths of Good Friday's sorrow to the radiant joy of Easter Sunday. Holy Week is a time when the sorrow of Good Friday, commemorating the sacrifice and crucifixion of Jesus, is deeply felt. This solemnity is captured in the biblical passage, "He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities" (Isaiah 53:5), reflecting on the profound depth of sacrifice for love and redemption. Yet, the narrative transforms with Easter Sunday, symbolising resurrection and new life, promising "He is not here; for He is risen" (Matthew 28:6), reminding us that from the greatest despair emerges the greatest hope.

As we conclude this term and step into the Easter break, let's hold this message close to our hearts. To our parents and children, may the Easter message inspire you with its promise of renewal and joy. Remember, the journey from sorrow to joy is a powerful reminder of resilience and hope, embodying the essence of Easter: from darkness comes light, from despair comes hope, and from death comes life. May this Easter fill your hearts with joy, peace, and the enduring promise of new beginnings, and may the Lord Be with you.

To our fantastic PTFA, a standing ovation for orchestrating the marvellous Easter Bingo extravaganza! Your creativity and dedication turned a simple game into an unforgettable festivity, sprinkling joy like confetti across our community. The laughter, the excitement, and the shared moments of triumph were the real jackpot. Thank you for adding such vibrant colours to our Easter celebration palette. You are our bingo champions, without a doubt!

And to our incredible staff, who transformed an ordinary evening into an extraordinary Movie Night for our kids, your magic knows no bounds. The gleaming eyes and smiles as wide as the screen itself spoke volumes of the enchantment you created. Your effort to bring stories to life and turn a school night into a wonderland of adventure and popcorn-scented dreams did not go unnoticed. Thank you for being the directors of joy and the scriptwriters of unforgettable memories.

For the parents in year 2, and the current year 5, payment schedules are now available on SCO pay. Unless we hear, and agree otherwise, the full amount of the residential must be paid prior to the trip.

For parents in year 6, the payment for the London trip, £35.00 is now on the SCO app. Once again, there is an expectation that parents make this voluntary contribution. I know the phrasing is oxymoronic, but if parents are unable to make the voluntary contribution then an alternative trip will need to be sourced by school.

Finally May I remind you that we are reaffirming our no earring policy after Easter. Earings are not permitted under our uniform policy, however we do permite the clear plastic 'holders', should they be required.
