Once again, thank you all very much indeed. It remains hard at times, its certainly inconvenient, but it is getting easier isn't it? Continue to indulge me please.

Please continue to be massively vigilant in supporting us in trying to keep COVID out of school for as long as we can. We do that by strictly following the guidelines, and at times being devilish and fastidious with the latest detail and by being punctilious with regard kids symptoms.

Forget the flow charts. The best, and tightest advice is:

If your kid has any of the major symptoms of COVID found in children (Fever, cough, runny nose/nasal congestion, muscle aches, unusual, unexpected tiredness,  all are major indicators of COVID in kids) please keep your child, and any siblings off school, and book a PCR test. If any adult in your house has any of the major symptoms of COVID found in adults (Temperature, Cough, Change to taste or smell) please keep your child, and any siblings off school, and book a PCR test. Really, in both these cases the whole household should self isolate until the results of the PCR are in.

School Meals

The school meal ordering system appears to be going pretty well! Remember - Infants - you're all sorted, you don't need to do anything!

Juniors - order 2 days in advance!

We'll continue to give you time to adjust to it, then, before summer we'll launch the menu option! Now that is exciting!

Starting in July 2021, St George's will be hosting a holiday club for primary aged kids.

We are very excited to announce we have teamed up with Quality Sport Holiday Clubs and as of Summer 2021 we will be offering Holiday Clubs on site at St George’s during all school holidays.  Quality Sport are a well-established OFSTED registered holiday club provision providing children with the opportunity to explore a wide variety of sports and other activities including arts & crafts, den building, outdoor adventures, baking etc.  The owner is a parent of the school and after meeting last week we feel this will be a fantastic collaboration and asset to the school.  Attached is a leaflet with all the information on the Summer Club and booking is now live on the Quality Sport website www.qualitysport.co.uk. The club is open to children from all schools, but priority books will be taken for St George's kids until the 14th May, whence it will be opened more widely to the local community.

Like the Nursery, this will be use the school premises, not school staff (necessarily) and is run independently of school. That said, one of the many benefits of having a holiday club based on school site is that the kids are in a familiar, comfortable setting, surrounded by familiar comfortable kids!

The holiday club is ready to be launch and is taking bookings for this summer holiday.

Welcome to Quality Sport Holiday Clubs Ltd. More details can be found here www.qualitysport.co.uk, or email the owner Nicola Cleaver, by clicking on the link!

What a great addition to the St George's, and indeed Mossy Lea provision!

Please enjoy the attached digital family prayer adventure map from the diocese and the Church of England. All the instructions are within the booklet sent home with the kids.

Dates to end of term - hopefully no clashes this time!

As always, I appreciate all your support whether it be personally, supporting the kids with homework, supporting the school - whatever support you offer - thank you. I know we would not be the school we are without you.

All the best,

Andy
