Disco, Disco, Disco!

Another success of the last week was the live stream disco on Thursday! The photos of you all dancing away in your living rooms were amazing to see.. They shone a little light in this dark time! So... we’re doing it one final time! Tony will be live on 11th February between 7pm and 8.15pm, streaming on facebook! Get dressed up again, get your dancing shoes on and join us once again for a dance!

Use of school provision

At the moment, school, or rather day stay, is open to key worker children and vulnerable children only. Yes, of course, please use the provision if you need it, but only if you need it. It is essential that we keep in mind the government’s message of stay at home, protect the nhs and save lives. Please only send your child into school when there is no alternative. We are here as a last resort for those families who genuinely need it. Numbers are creeping up and this is something that we want to avoid to reduce the size of the vector of transmission amongst the children, the staff and indeed the community. Thank you.

Well, all things considered wasn't it a great weekend? We did a relay run of over 900 miles. We ran the length of the country - from John O Groats to Land End. And that's ace! Well done. We also enjoyed Education Sunday and all the religion uplift, and digital inspiration that it brought. My sincere thanks to Anne and Naomi for their generous efforts in preparing, and executing the service. Well done

It's time to bake..... on Sunday 21st February, me and Anne Foth will be on the school car park! With the urns, and tea bags this time, but no food.

Over half term, I challenge you to a bake off.

Choose what's best for the family from:

Victoria Sponge
Gingerbread men
Cup cakes

Kids have to be massively involved.

Between 10am and 5pm walk a mile to bring a cake and eat a cake. Come and join us as a welcome back to what will be a phenomenal half term!

Obviously we can't create a mass gathering, so it will be walk, 30 second chat, continue with your walk!

Who's in for tea and cake. Walk a mile, grab and go.....

We have a good stock of decent laptops now. We have 10 windows laptops that are wiped and ready for useage. If you're using a phone for zoom, then please email help@st-georges.lancs.sch.uk and we'll give you a laptop!

Have a great week everyone, and enjoy your half term. Although we are closed over half term, the help@email will continue to be monitored, and you have my mobile number. The Edenred vouchers have all been sorted, but in the meantime, if you require anything from food, to data, to laptops, to pastoral support use help@, and we will sort it. You have my word.

All the best, and I'll see you for bring a cake, eat a cake on Sunday 21st February.
