PTFA News

Can you provide us with any cakes, or refreshments of any type to sell at the Fair?  These would be most gratefully received in school, on the Monday of the Fair. (11 July)

And finally… if nothing else; please come to school and support the PTFA in this major fundraising event!  The fair will open at 6.00pm  on Monday 11 July  look forward to seeing you there!  Let’s hope for great summer weather….

ALSO ON THE SUMMER FAIR

The Entrances to the fair will be either through the junior playground, if you have a programme, through the infant playground if you are without programme, or Fountains Close – with or without a programme.

The fair will be held, weather providing, along the "new" front of school, round to the infant playground. There will be plenty of activities on the MUGA, and junior yard as well, with refreshments being available from the kitchen in the hall as normal. Flow from yard to yard will be either along the promenade, through the hall, where drinks, and refreshments will be served from. You will also be able to circulate in and out of the school through any promenade room.

Kelly Beasley will pop a plan on facebook as to what she is allocating to where.

Drinks, and refreshments will be served from the school hall.

We still need a few people to sign up for stalls! And the sign up link is attached this newsletter

Massive thanks to you all the PTFA for their efforts with the Fair—I know it’s hard work… but it genuinely makes a huge difference to the school, and the community. It’s a great day!

We have some great prizes for the raffle—Thanks to you all for your generosity…. It really is appreciated.

See you Monday for the big set up!

To ensure that the Fair works smoothly, safely and calmly we could do with some more volunteers to supervise the stall please. Please sign up for a stall using this link.

Anne Fothergill wants to canvass your views on what you think of us generally, and in particularly RE. Please give us your honest feedback.... what do you like about us, what would you like to change..... of course, we can't please everyone all of the time, but we would love to hear what you think of St George's. It will help us as we begin to write next years school improvement plan.

This link should work.

As we begin to start to think about travel, and holiday and warmer, foreign calmer climates let me ask a favour, and set a task. As you travel around the 4 corners of the globe look out for places of worship please. This may be a church, Mosque, Cathedral, someone's home, the Prayer Lounge at the airport.... take a picture of it, and send it to us at school. a.fothergill@st-georges.lancs.sch.uk or bursar@st-georges.lancs.sch.uk, or head@st-georges.lancs.sch.uk

Many thanks, and I look forward to seeing the Wonderful places of Worship around the World.

A young lad in Y6 has had his keyring taken off his bag in the cloakroom last week. it does look like the key ring was taken mischievously, and by the damage to his bag by some force. The lad himself is fine, but was understandably upset. If you see this keyring knocking around at home please return it to school via the front office so we can return it to it's rightful owner. Please.
