Welcome back! I hope the Easter break has been a period of joy and rejuvenation for you all. Over the break, I was moved by "A Small Light," which shares the wisdom of Miep Gies, a figure of quiet courage and her valiant attempts to save Jewish Families during The Nazi Occupation of Amsterdam during WW2.  One of her quotes will conclude each of my emails this half term:

"Even an ordinary secretary, or a "housewife", or a teenager, can, within their own small ways, turn on a small light in a dark room."

This message resonates deeply with our school's mission, echoing the Easter miracle. Each day, we strive to be those small lights in our community, kindling hope, nurturing growth, and embracing the promise of new beginnings as we embark on a fresh term together.

Let's carry this spirit with us, turning on countless small lights to brighten every corner of our school, and community of Chorley.

All aboard - it's term 3.

Please like and share to help the word get around! ❤️Parents and carers with small children, you are so welcome to come and join us for our new 'Little Saints' Tots and Toddler group, starting Tuesday 16th April 😁 it'll be great just to be able to meet up with other parents and to have a chat over a coffee, and it'll be great fun for the kids too! we're excited for games, songs, fun, snacks and group play 🙌👏 Every Tuesday of term time, 9-10:30am in All Saints' Church, Moor Road.

There will be no charge for the first week so you can come and see if you'd like to come back and, although we're asking for a £2 donation per family after that, we know that because of the cost of living etc that's not affordable to everyone so please don't let it put you off if money is a problem, we will make it work!

There is, of course, also our wonderful sister group 'Little Steps' which meets on a Wednesday morning in St George's Church, Chorley , make sure you check them out too for another chance to meet with lovely people and chat with other parents!

It would be so great to see you there in our fun, informal Tots setting.

All the best,

The Little Saints' team.

All Saints' Church, Chorley

Also at All Saints' Church...

Don't forget the Closer service, on a Sunday afternoon, at 4pm is a great family service, tickable for either school, and filled with fun as you worship God together. Its a shorter service, aimed at families.

Being able to go to either church is a great facility amid option for those wanting to worship, but find Sunday Mornings are not their thing! Try the Closer service - 4pm. All Saints.

Folks, as per the calendar we've changed this half terms class call in... it's the now 9th May, not the 2nd. The 2nd being polling day. As far as we know its only local elections! So the school can remain open! We only tend to close for the General Election as this involved bigger numbers.

SCHOOL MEALS PRICE INCREASE FROM SEPTEMBER - SORRY

May I inform you of an upcoming adjustment to our school meal pricing. In accordance with guidelines set by Lancashire Catering, the price for a school meal will be increased to £2.70 starting September. This change is a response to rising costs, and please rest assured that we have worked diligently to keep this increase to a minimum while continuing to offer nutritious and enjoyable meals for our children. Your understanding and continued support are greatly appreciated as we make these necessary adjustments.

I'll check out our finances for late stay and breakfast club over the coming weeks, but I think we're ok there. We don't need to have any surplus there, hopefully just break even!

Have a lovely weekend everyone, and once again, welcome back.
