Welcome to this week's newsletter!

What a brilliant first half term it has been! We are so proud of all the children, who have demonstrated determination, resilience and kindness throughout the past few weeks. They have been simply lovely, and it has been a joy to see them learning, growing and flourishing together.

A special well done to our Year 3 children this week, who led a fantastic Harvest Worship. They did a wonderful job, we are incredibly proud of them and they deserve to be proud of themselves!

It has also been lovely to welcome parents into school for our worship and our monthly coffee morning. These opportunities to come together as a school community are always so special, and we look forward to many more throughout the year.

As we head into the half-term break, we would like to wish all our families a restful and happy week. Whatever your half term looks like, we hope you manage to enjoy some well-deserved rest, make some lovely memories and have plenty of fun!

We look forward to welcoming all our children and families back to school after the break, ready for another exciting half term of learning and making memories together.

Have a wonderful half term!

Church Update

We hope everyone has a fantastic break after this busy first half-term of the school year.  Rev Toby has enjoyed starting to get to know the school and he and Pete (Parish youth worker) have enjoyed leading worship.  On Friday we are running a 'Light Party' up at All Saints' Church on Moor Road from 5-7pm.  Open to anyone in Y3+ there will be activities, glow games, party food and a disco.  Lots of fun to be had.  For details see the picture below.  To save time on the day you can pre-register using the QR code.

After the half term look out for our new Wednesday lunchtime club open to those in Year 4 and above, to be led by Pete assisted by one of our governors and grandparents, John Bradley.  There will b fun activities and a chance to explore something from the bible.

Therapy Dog

After half term, we will be welcoming a therapy dog into school every other week. The dog will work with specific children to support their individual needs, rather than visiting classes, so not all children will meet them.

The dog is specially trained and will be accompanied by a registered therapist.

If you have any questions or concerns, or if there is anything you feel would be helpful for us to know, please do get in touch.

🎸 Year 3 and 4 Times Tables Battle!

Let the battle begin! ⚔️

Year 3 and 4 are going head-to-head in an exciting Times Tables Rock Stars battle! We’ve set up battles on TT Rockstars, and we’re challenging everyone to get involved, practise regularly and show off their times tables skills.

The winning class and the winning child will be those who spend the most time practising their times tables, and we’ll celebrate their fantastic efforts during Friday’s Celebration Worship.

Remember, every minute of practice counts! The more you practise, the quicker and more confidently you’ll be able to recall your times tables facts. Developing fluent, speedy recall is a really important skill that will help you in maths every day.

So, get practising, get rocking and see if you can help your class become the ultimate Times Tables Rock Stars champions! 🌟🎸
