Year 6 made the most of the sunshine & took their spelling revision outside this afternoon! super work from them all.

ALIENS SPOTTED AT ST GEORGE’S

Year 5 came in this morning to classrooms turned upside down, strange goo on tables, peculiar footprints and our school on the BBC News website. Keen to find out what has happened, we started to collect evidence, interviewing witnesses and scrutinising evidence from Mr. Purcell, Miss Bolton and others.

The picture is becoming clearer and we will be using our investigative journalist skills to write a newspaper article, detailing these extraordinary events.

Year 5 have had a virtual author visit today from Matt Brwon who spoke to us about his new book, “Kevin The Vampire”. He spoke to us about the art of story telling.

Class 6 ended a great RE Focus week with a Sikhism workshop then enjoyed some time outside creating mandalas.

.Some of our Year 2 children took part in a martial arts festival today. We learned lots of new skills and had a great time. Thanks to Chorley School Sports Partnership and Shinpo Martial Arts.

We have also taken part in The biggest ever football session today celebrating International women’s day by encouraging our girls to take part in #letgirlsplay football activities.
