An unbelievable 2 weeks.... £4k raised, focus week done, sports day done, Ribchester done, Forest school continues, SATS results in, new intake in, performance nearly done, final governors mtg done, Eucharist planned, Bibbys Farm done, Chris Luube in year 6 eucharists..... the list goes on
Y6 have made it to rivington pike! Using Digi Maps, compass points, bearings and a bit of AI - navigated our own routes to the top.... and back& we’ve even done some production singing practise.
Class 7 made their Steven Brown McCoo collages this afternoon. Well done everyone!
A note from Si NEwell sums up the Summer Fair...
"
"Summer Fair Thanks!
Last night was another tremendous success – a huge well done to everyone involved!
There’s no question about the incredible effort that goes into organising and setting up the event – thank you to our amazing PTFA team for all the time, energy and commitment you put in behind the scenes.
Let’s also give a big shout-out to the school staff who mucked in and helped make the fair such fun for the children – your support makes a real difference.
Yes, the fair raises important funds, but from the children’s perspective, it’s a magical evening full of fun, laughter, and memories. And that’s what makes it all worthwhile.
So thank you – Team PTFA, school staff, and of course our brilliant parents and children – for coming together once again. "
Today Class 4 started their new topic on Enid Blyton's The Magic Faraway tree. We made our own fairy doors- I wonder who lives behind them?
Amazing... Tyler coming back to see us, and play for us..... lets motivate him to come back at Christmas please
And cheers "George!"
We made fantastic Roman soldiers! We had a great look around the museum before a walk around the ruins of the bath house. A brilliant day out!
This afternoon, we are privileged to welcome Chris Lubbe, Nelson Mandela’s former bodyguard, to speak with our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils.
He is sharing his remarkable story with warmth and honesty- a powerful message about standing up for what’s right, even when it’s hard. The children are listening beautifully and are clearly taking a great deal from the experience.
Class 7 have been recreating their version of Steven Brown’s McCoo in Art today. They have looked at proportion, shading and using different materials to create a 3D and layering effect.
