Class 4
Welcome to Class 4!
We are a mixed year 1 and year 2 class. You can find us in the Orange classroom, along the promenade. I am Chelsea Davenport and I will be your child's class teacher for this academic year. Alongside myself, Alice Turner, Julie Turner, Lisa Newell and Ruby Stazikar will be supporting us in class 5. On Thursday, Anne Fothergill will be teaching the class.
If you have any questions or queries during the year, please contact me via seesaw or on my email c.davenport@st-georges.lancs.sch.uk
Spring 1
PE day this half-term will be a Thursday. Children should come in their PE kit on that day.
Our topic this half-term is "What material would you use to build a fairy-tale home?" We will be reading traditional tales, specifically looking at Rapunzel in literacy. In history, we will learn about houses and homes in the past and how they've changed. In science, we will be exploring everyday materials, thinking about "what material makes the best superhero cape?" In DT we will be considering "What kind of house would Rapunzel live in?" and building our own home! Mrs Fothergill will continue to teach RE and is thinking about "What does this story teach us about God?" It's a jam-packed half-term, and I'm very much looking forward to it!
