Welcome to Class 5!

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to Class 5. We are a straight Year 2 class and you can find us in the purple classroom, located along the promenade.

For those of you who may not know me, I am Angela Makepeace and I will be your child’s teacher for the next academic year. Miss Urmson will also teach the class on a Tuesday morning. Alongside myself and Miss Urmson, Mr Robinson will support us in Class 5 as our teaching assistant and Mrs Pilling will listen to the children read in the afternoon.

Autumn 1

The children have made an incredible start to the year and have settled into our classroom routines brilliantly.  I have really enjoyed getting to know the children so far and I know this year is going to be amazing! We have a jam-packed year ahead with lots of exciting topics. Our first topic is “Why isn’t there a beach in Chorley?” 

Homework Menus and Curricular Letters will also be uploaded here each half-term.

PE day for this first half-term is Friday. The children can come into school wearing their school PE kit (the children can wear their coloured team t-shirt).
