All children in Year 5 will begin swimming lessons from Friday 24^th February at Brinscall Swimming Pool. These lessons will take place each Friday until the end of the school year. Children will travel to Brinscall by coach from school at 1:20pm and arrive back at school by 3:40pm to be dismissed by the class teacher on the junior yard at 3:45 after being registered in their classroom. 

Each Friday children should bring to school a towel, swim hat and swim suit. Swimming hats are available to purchase at the pool. Please speak to the school office if you would like us to organise the purchase of a swimming hat. The instructors at Brinscall ask that girls wear a full swimming costume and that boys wear swim shorts that are not too loose. Children are not required to wear goggles for lessons. If you wish your child to wear goggles, please email Mark (m.holmes@st-georges.lancs.sch.uk) or Katy (k.blackledge@st-georges.lancs.sch.uk) and send goggles with your child each week. We also ask that your child does not wear any jewellery to school on swimming days.
