Year 5 and 6 Dance club and competition 2025
We will be running an afterschool dance club for year 5 and 6 starting on Tuesday 7th January, running for 12 weeks until 1st April. It will start straight after school and finish at 4:30pm and will take place in the hall. Children should bring to school an appropriate kit and a drink for the session. At the end of the school day, children will get changed in their classrooms and a register will be taken. After the session, children will be dismissed from the hall door.  The main purpose of this club is to learn a dance for the SSP primary dance competition which will take place on Thursday 20th March (the actual competition is in the evening following an afternoon rehearsal at the Empire Theatre in Blackburn).  If your child is given a place in the club then you are confirming they will also be able to take part in the competition.  The club will be run by Chorley SSP with the support of school staff.  More details about the performance and parent tickets will be sent out next term.

If this is something your child is interested in, please complete the form below.  Places will be given on a first come, first served basis.  If you have successfully completed the form below then your child will have been allocated a place and ne further confirmation will be sent out.  Your child should then come to the first session on the 7th January.
