A Brilliant Christmas Fair – Thank You, PTFA!
Monday night’s Christmas Fair was a triumph of community spirit, determination, and good old-fashioned goodwill. Despite the persistent drizzle outside, the atmosphere inside was warm, bustling, and filled with that unmistakable St George’s sparkle. Our PTFA worked with an energy that was nothing short of exceptional, turning an ordinary December evening into something rather magical.
A special word of thanks must go to Naomi, who served as the SLT link throughout the planning. She was, quite frankly, too good at it — so much so that the PTFA have already requested her again for the Summer Fair. I’ve absolutely no issue with that; her organised, steady, and quietly brilliant approach made a genuine difference.
The Fair itself was something to be proud of. Not taken for granted. Not overlooked. Just deeply appreciated. You — our parents, carers, grandparents, and extended families — came out in force, browsed the stalls, supported the games, and helped create a joyful, festive atmosphere.
Together, we raised a remarkable £3,500, every penny of which will go towards helping fund our new Alpine Chapel project — a space that will serve generations of St George’s kids and families.
My heartfelt thanks to everyone involved: our PTFA, our staff, our volunteers, and every person who attended. Monday night was, in every sense, ace.
