Year 6 have been showing off their Computing, 3D design skills using CAD (Computer Aided Design) using Tinkercad. After getting to grips with the software, Year 6 began to design… Brilliant work by everyone!

Year 6 also enjoyed their meet and greet with the chicks this afternoon

Year 5 had visitors today….they even managed to hold a few after old Mr Holmes was able to catch a few of them.

Class 3 have become the stars of a book this week after looking at life-cycles in RE. Click on the link to the left to see the video on facebook - well worth a  look. 

Year 5 had a fantastic day at Jodrell Bank as we consolidated our learning from Science about Earth and Space. We got to grips with interactive exhibits, discussed nebula, black holes and supernovas. We learned about a Bernard Lovell and his work at Jodrell Bank and attended a fantastic inter-planetary show in which we travelled around the Solar System and beyond. We’ll done, Year 5. You showed yourselves, and St George’s, off!

In Year 6 RE today we looked carefully at the symbolism of the Passover meal​ and tried out some of the foods involved. We discussed why the Exodus story is significant for both Jews and Christians. We now know how Jews remember this significant event.

Class 8 had a fantastic time at MRs Dowson's farm, although it appeared to floor me for a couple of days! 

What a perfect day to walk to Duxbury to visit the River Yarrow. Class 6 showed amazing knowledge as they sketched and labelled the features of the river.

A game of Pooh Sticks was a great way to look at the direction the fiver flows in.
