🎒 What a Week! 🇬🇧

It’s been a scorcher—and not just with the weather! Year 6 had an absolutely phenomenal time in London, representing the school with pride and positivity. From the dizzying heights of the London Eye to a fascinating tour of the Houses of Parliament, the children soaked up every moment. Hot, happy, and full of memories—it’s been a week to remember!

I'll set up a gallery of photographs from teh day - but well done everyone, kids and adults alike, and sincere thanks to everyone, kids, adults and parents alike for making the day so successful.

🌿🏵FOCUS WEEK 23rd- 27th June🏵🌿

Next week we are having our Focus Week- Art in the Outdoors.

We will be looking to get outside, improve the school grounds and have lots of fun.

WHAT DO THE CHILDREN NEED?

All children need to keep a forest school kit on their pegs all week (including wellies).

Trowels and forks on MONDAY for getting the grounds ready to go.

Please keep an eye on the weather forecast- suncream, sunhats, coats!

WHAT DOES SCHOOL NEED?

Wheelbarrows- if you have one you can let us borrow on MONDAY please message your class teacher. Ideally we could do with 2 per class. They can be dropped off on the junior playground on Monday morning. Please name them in some way!

Scarecrow clothing- any old clothes that we could create out scarecrows from would be amazing. Please send them into class.

Thank you to the adults who have signed up to help on Monday! We really appreciate it and will mean so much to the kids!

We are really excited about an amazing, porductive week in school!

Many thanks,

Emma

Mark took kids cricketting

We're playing our last game now, at Brinscall. We've made massive progress and it's been noticed by the Lancashire coaches. What a great bunch!

Y4-Y6 had a visit from Flat Stan today to learn some basic First Aid.

Y4s in Class 7 learned some important skills including how to check for breathing if someone has collapsed, what to use to stop bleeding if no First Aid kit is available, what to do if someone is choking and how to perform chest compressions. Well done everyone!
