Behind the front door...... WE 14.11.2025

In the middle of everything that fills our days — lessons, laughter, life — we pause.

And we should pause. We should do more than remember; we should empathise.

We pause to remember those who gave everything so that we could live, learn, and grow in freedom. We pause for the quiet heroes — the ordinary people who did extraordinary things, and for the families who carried the weight of that sacrifice.

This week, a veteran on the news said quietly, “As things stand, it wasn’t worth it.”

Those words landed heavy. Because if that’s how it feels to someone who gave so much, then we have work to do.

Perhaps remembrance isn’t just about looking back, but about looking forward — to the kind of world we still need to build. One where peace, kindness, and understanding aren’t just remembered, but lived.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

Lest we forget, Lest we forget to learn ❤️🌺

Class 7 enjoyed  Roman day last week. We’ve got an exciting day ahead of baking, mosaic making and being a Roman soldier. All other photos will appear on seesaw to include all those children who do not have permission for Facebook.

Group 1 Christmas craft club have made a wonderful start on their Clay Gingerbread House. We can't wait to see how they look when they are finished. 🏠🎄

Class 6 enjoyed their PE with SSP today. They had to work hard as a team to create some very tricky balances!

Class 5’s classroom had been turned into a fairytale crime scene this morning. The children had to use their detective skills and look at the evidence to work out which fairytale criminals had been in the classroom.

Brilliant team and detective work!

Reception children are enjoying a very special live session with the amazing author Michael Rosen this morning. They are listening to his wonderful performance poetry- we especially enjoyed his famous ‘Chocolate Cake’ performance.
