Stop Press! New OFSTED Report published!

Mr Purcell writes about the new Outstanding OFSTED report, which was published today.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Warm greetings to each and every one of you. I want to start by thanking you for all your kind words since the release of the OFSTED report.

It was with a quiet sense of pride that I shared the outcome of our recent OFSTED inspection, which concluded with St George's Primary School being judged as 'Outstanding' in all areas for the second time. This moment, while a cause for private celebration, is primarily an opportunity to acknowledge the collective spirit and hard work that have brought us to this point.

I must extend my effusive thanks to our brilliant staff, whose dedication to our school's mission is the cornerstone of our success. To our children, whose enthusiasm and willingness to learn make every challenge worthwhile. To you, the parents, for your unwavering support and cooperation, which strengthens the fabric of our community. And to our Governors, whose guidance and stewardship have been invaluable.

In this tapestry of effort, my role as Headteacher is but one thread among many. It is the harmony of our efforts, the dedication of each person within our community, that creates the beautiful picture we see today. I am ever mindful that leadership is about service, and in this role, I am honoured to serve alongside such a committed team.

We will not rest on our laurels. This report is the ground from which we will continue to grow, learn, and improve. We are committed to using this achievement as a springboard for further development and excellence in our educational provision.

I offer my thoughts and prayers to other schools in the throes of preparation and reflection as they await their inspections. May your hard work and dedication also be met with the recognition it deserves.

In the spirit of unity and progress, I recall the words of Scripture that inspire our commitment to collective endeavour: “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace” (1 Peter 4:10).

Once again, thank you. May we all look forward to the continued success and development of our children and school community.

Andy
