Welcome to Class 6,
Welcome back to the new and exciting half term. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your support since the start of term. The children have all settled extremely well into Class 6. I am incredibly proud of how hard they have all worked. They rounded off a brilliant first half term with their magnificent performance in their Year 3 Harvest worship. The homework the children brought in, and that which was shared on Seesaw, was amazing! It is great to see so many of the children working on a great range of homework activities. I am looking forward to this half term, with the children continuing to show their confidence and determination in all of their work. This half term ahead is again very busy and packed full of challenges and opportunities for the children to enjoy as they learn. In our History, we are looking at how Christmas was celebrated in the Victorian era, with a particular focus on Astley Hall in our local area. We will base our self portraits on the work of Frida Kahlo in Art and look at Christian Art in our RE lessons. Our PE day has changed to Tuesday for this half term and our gymnastics lessons will be taught by Chorley SSP. Mrs Harrison will continue to teach the children for part of Friday mornings and Miss Urmson will teach on Friday afternoons. Further details of our curriculum for this half term are included below.
