Welcome back and welcome to Class 5!
I am thrilled to be the class teacher of such a wonderful group of children. The children have made an incredible start to the year, settling into the new routines beautifully. I have really enjoyed getting to know each of them and we are all thoroughly excited about the term and the year ahead.
Class 5 is a straight Year 2 class taught by myself, Mrs Towers, in the purple classroom, located along the promenade. We are also very lucky to have Mrs Fothergill, who will be teaching RE and PE in Class 5 and our teaching assistant is Mrs Newell.
We have a jam-packed year ahead with lots of exciting topics. Our first topic is “Why isn’t there a beach in Chorley?” and we will be finding this out by visiting a real beach later in the term. Look out for more details in the coming weeks!
If you do have any questions or queries, please don't hesitate to call into school or contact me via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
The children had an especially amazing immersion into our first literacy topic, The Storm Whale. The children arrived in school one morning, to find our classroom had been transformed into a beach, with a very interesting visitor who had been washed up onto shore!
