School Uniform

Uniform matters - Every little helps

To make it easier to buy the school uniform, we have chosen to use the Parents On line ordering service from Price & Buckland. However, one of the feedbacks we had from the  parental questionnaire 2020 was that you wanted a choice in uniform supplier.
Price and Buckland have had exclusive rights on the uniform for years now, and have, indeed are, great.
They were also very competitively priced, (we go to tender every 12 months to keep price down) and the online ordering system works, on the whole, very well in-deed.
However some of you wanted to try clothes on etc before you bought, and found a visit to the high street more convenient.
So welcome to JADA, 213 Eaves Ln, Chorley PR6 0AG , 01257 271592 who are now joint providers of our uniform.

You can order the school uniform by going to http://www.pbuniform-online.co.uk/stgeorgeschorley or by calling at  JADA, 213 Eaves Ln, Chorley PR6 0AG , 01257 271592. Jada also have an on line shop which can be accessed by clicking on this link.

You will need to register your name and password and then you are ready to order.

If you do not have access to an on line computer at home, please remember that school computers are available for public use on Tuesday after school, and Wednesday morning, before school. Contact the school office, myself, or Mrs Teacher Brown for more details!

Or if you prefer, you can use the order form below, and order by post, paying by cheque or credit card.

You can either choose to have delivery made to school which is free of charge and done on a monthly basis, or you can have delivery made within 5 working days to a personal address for a small delivery charge paid at the time of purchase.

We also will continue to keep a wide range of quality seconds for use by our families. Why wouldn't you?  Children grow so big, so quickly these days, it is good to recycle. The recycled uniform is displayed in The Chalet, either help yourself, or call in front office and Sharon will assist you.

Many thanks for your continued support of the school, and indeed our school uniform policy.

The school does not permit children to have haircuts that could serve as a distraction to other children. Hair should be cut no shorter than a number 2 cut, and should not have any tram lines cut into it, or steps. Hair should be left natural colour.

On health and safety grounds we do not allow children to wear any jewellery in our school. The exceptions to this rule are medical jewellery and watches.

The school wants all children to grow into healthy adults. We believe that it is dangerous for children to wear shoes with platform soles or high heels in school, so we do not allow this. Neither do we allow children to wear trainers to school; these are appropriate for sport or as leisurewear, but are not in keeping with the smart appearance of a school uniform. We require all children to wear the types of shoe described in the uniform list.

We believe that parents have a duty to send their children to school correctly dressed and ready for their daily schoolwork. In choosing St George’s as your Primary School, you do also choose our rules.  Parents should ensure that their child has the correct uniform and that it is clean and in good repair – and clearly named!
